SCHOOL FOR PSALTRIES

The Conservatory of Classical and Contemporary Music, under the artistic direction of Spyros Mazis, in collaboration with the Women in Byzantine Music Worldwide Association, present the Byzantine music learning program specializing in the teaching of Byzantine Music for “Psaltries”, a Greek term for female cantors, through the "School for Psaltries" by Nektaria Karantzi.


Provision of recognized study titles (degree & diploma) from Greece:

  • Teaching in English and Greek

  • Teaching in singing classes or in private lessons

  • Online or live courses (for those living in Athens)

  • Training seminars and postgraduate programs for graduates

  • Classes and special lessons for girls from 6 years old and for adult singers of any age

  • Possibility to participate in the Byzantine choral ensembles for women "Psaltries" and girls "Nektar"

  • Possibility to participate in the church lectern

  • Possibility to participate in the filming of Nektaria Karantzis' TV teachings on Pemptousia TV

  • Possibility to participate in Nektaria Karantzi’s concerts, the Women in Byzantine Music Worldwide Association and the Classical and Contemporary Music Conservatory

  • Possibility of obtaining the status of a member of the Women in Byzantine Music Worldwide Association, participating in the activities of the Association and communicating with cantores all over the world
