Welcome to the Worldwide Association of “Women in Byzantine Music”,

the world’s first official and largest membership platform

for women in Byzantine Ecclesiastical Music.
 

Inspired by Saint Porphyrios of Kavsokalyvia who blessed the creation of a woman chanting choir, Nektaria Karantzi founded the Association in 2013 in Greece and has since expanded its activities throughout the world.

Our Association provides the opportunity for women and choirs from around the world who love Byzantine Ecclesiastical Music to connect, inspire and unite with each other.
